Feeding Families Foundation would like to thank Ulbrich Stainless Steels & Specialty Metals for its significant donation which will greatly help families with critically ill children in the hospital. With this donation, Feeding Families Foundation was able to fully fund its Parent Plate Program for 2024, providing one meal per day for parents staying with their child on the hematology/oncology floor at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital. Now that one meal is funded, we have set our sights on increasing the number of meals offered, and expanding our program to other areas of the hospital.
Charity, philanthropy, and giving are ingrained in the culture at Ulbrich, and the company has a long history of dedicated commitment supporting organizations that have a positive impact on youth in the communities in and around Wallingford, Meriden, and North Haven. In a note informing Feeding Families Foundation of its decision to donate to our mission, an Ulbrich representative wished us well and stated that they “hope this donation is useful to complete the good work you are doing in our community.”
As a nonprofit based in the North Haven area that is committed to helping Connecticut families with critically ill children in the hospital, Ulbrich’s donation, like so many others, is crucial to our mission and its success. We appreciate Ulbrich recognizing our organization and the importance of helping parents get back to what matters most – caring for their child.
