Accessibility Statement and Grievance Procedure
Last Updated: September 2026
Feeding Families Foundation (“the Foundation”) is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, including individuals with disabilities. We strive to ensure that our digital services, programs, and information are accessible in accordance with applicable federal and state laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
1. Commitment to Accessibility
The Foundation is dedicated to ensuring equal access to our mission, services, and online information. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website, feedingfamiliesfoundation.org, and in doing so adhere to the relevant portions of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines provide a framework for making web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments.
As WCAG 2.2 becomes the prevailing standard, we are reviewing updates and incorporating improvements where feasible.
2. Accessibility Measures Implemented To support accessibility, the Foundation has implemented or is in the process of implementing the following measures:
· Use of semantic HTML and proper heading structure
· Text alternatives for non-text content
· Keyboard-accessible navigation
· Sufficient color contrast
· Descriptive link text and labels
· Captions or transcripts for multimedia where applicable
· Predictable navigation and consistent layout
· Avoidance of color-only cues
We conduct periodic audits using automated tools, manual testing, and user feedback.
3. Known Accessibility Limitations
Despite our ongoing efforts, some content may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards:
· Third-party platforms (e.g., Donorbox) may have accessibility limitations outside our control.
· Legacy documents, including older PDFs, may not yet be fully optimized for screen readers.
· Occasional contrast inconsistencies may appear in decorative or photographic elements.
We are actively working to address these issues and welcome feedback to help us prioritize improvements.
4. Requesting Accessible Formats
Individuals who need information in an alternative format (e.g., accessible PDF, large print, audio description, or other accommodations) may request such materials at any time.

The Foundation has established the following procedure for receiving and addressing grievances related to the accessibility of our website or digital services.

Grievances may be submitted by email or mail:

The Foundation will investigate the grievance, which may include:
· Reviewing the reported accessibility barrier
· Testing the relevant webpage(s)
· Consulting with web developers or accessibility specialists
· Communicating with the complainant for clarification if needed
Step 4: Determination and Response
Within 30 business days of receiving the grievance, the Foundation will provide a written response outlining:

If additional time is required due to technical complexity, the Foundation will notify the complainant and provide an updated timeline.
Step 5: Appeal (Optional)
If the complainant is dissatisfied with the resolution, they may submit a written appeal within 15 business days of receiving the determination. The Foundation will review the appeal and issue a final written decision within 20 business days.
6. Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing priority. The Foundation will continue to review its website, update content, and improve features to ensure equitable access for all users. This statement will be updated as standards evolve and improvements are made. We will update the “effective date” at the top of this document whenever changes are made.
